Grounding Meditation
A good way of obtaining earthy energy is by carrying out a grounding meditation such as the one below.
It has the benefit of clearing your mind and heart of anxiety and restlessness.
Sit down on a comfortable chair in a quiet place where nobody will interrupt you.
There is no need to hold your hands in any special position, just make sure you are comfortable.
Close you eyes and relax.
Focus on your breathing in a regular way. Keep on concentrating on your breathing while you relax.
Once you feel relaxed, become conscious of your feet on the ground and imagine your feet have roots. Now imagine the roots going deep into the ground.
Let the roots grow deeper into the ground, until they link with the center of the earth.
Imagine the base of your spine lengthening and growing downward, until it also reaches deeply into the earth.
Let all your worries and fears flow away down these roots, taking your troubles away into the cleansing earth.
Allow feelings of love and positivity to flow upward from the earth through the roots, into your heart and soul.
Gradually come back to the world and open your eyes.
