Grounding Meditation

A good way of obtaining earthy energy is by carrying out a grounding meditation such as the one below.

It has the benefit of clearing your mind and heart of anxiety and restlessness.

Sit down on a comfortable chair in a quiet place where nobody will interrupt you.

There is no need to hold your hands in any special position, just make sure you are comfortable.

  • Close you eyes and relax.

  • Focus on your breathing in a regular way. Keep on concentrating on your breathing while you relax.

  • Once you feel relaxed, become conscious of your feet on the ground and imagine your feet have roots. Now imagine the roots going deep into the ground.

  • Let the roots grow deeper into the ground, until they link with the center of the earth.

  • Imagine the base of your spine lengthening and growing downward, until it also reaches deeply into the earth.

  • Let all your worries and fears flow away down these roots, taking your troubles away into the cleansing earth.

  • Allow feelings of love and positivity to flow upward from the earth through the roots, into your heart and soul.

  • Gradually come back to the world and open your eyes.
